| Bio: | I'm Hilary or Alkonost, whichever you prefer. I'm from PA originally but am currently living in the Great White North for university. My major is History and I'm considering a possible additional major or minor in the following: Peace & Conflict Studies, Women's Studies, Middle Eastern Studies or African Studies. Studying languages is also a hobby of mine. Since high school I've dabbled in Japanese, Hindi and Arabic. Though now I'm just sticking with Arabic. I'm very much on the left politically and am not satisfied with either of the major political parties in the US, but especially not the Republicans. I'm an aspiring writer and journalist. Otherwise, the interests below provide a good picture of what I'm like. Though I'm enjoying IJ a whole lot, the fact that pretty much all of my friends are on LJ will probably keep me there.
